It’s not just the private sector that takes data security seriously. UK government does too. Since 1 October, those supplying to UK government must comply with “basic cyber hygiene measures” to demonstrate, according to Francis Maude, Minister for Cabinet Office, “that they take this issue seriously and that they have met government requirements to respond to the threat“.
There is also G-Cloud 5 (and soon 6), the existing Code of Practice from the Cloud Industry Forum (which I’m involved with), the Star Audit, the current attempts by the EU Commission to generate meaningful standards and, of course, ISO from whom we have overview and vocabulary and reference architecture standards (click and search “cloud”).
